The Bradbury Foundation is celebrating a major milestone after raising £50,000 in its first two years, helping to support charitable projects across Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Established in September 2024, the regional grant-making charity raises funds to provide grants to charities, not-for-profit groups and community organisations delivering projects that make a difference to local people.
In just two years, the Foundation has supported 30 different projects, benefiting more than 10,000 people across the region. More than £27,000 has already been awarded in grants, with further funding available to support local organisations.
The projects supported have been wide-ranging, from SEN provision and support sessions for unpaid carers to arts and crafts activities, befriending services and initiatives tackling social isolation and bringing communities together.
Fundraising has been driven by the Foundation’s trustees, ambassadors and supporters through a growing programme of events and activities, with all funds raised helping the Foundation continue its grant-making work.

“Reaching £50,000 in just two years is something we are immensely proud of, but what matters most is what that money allows us to do.
“Every pound we raise is there to go back into our local communities. Our trustees and ambassadors give their time freely, whether that is supporting fundraising events, meeting the organisations we fund or seeing first-hand the difference these projects make.
“Reading the applications we receive is incredibly heart-warming. There are so many people doing fantastic things within their communities, often with limited resources, and relatively small grants can make a genuine difference to what they are able to deliver.
“What started as a legacy has grown into something that is providing valuable support to organisations across our region. Reaching £50,000 is a fantastic milestone for us and we are excited to see how many more projects and communities we can support in the years ahead.”
The Bradbury Foundation was established in memory of Lee Bradbury and supports charitable and community projects within a 25-mile radius of its base. The Foundation supports local projects that bring people together and improve lives across Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The foundation is open to applications for grants of up to £2,000 for charitable projects.
