The Bradbury Foundation was delighted to be named a finalist in the Heart of the Community Award category at the Great Big Small Awards 2026, recognising the positive difference the charity is making across Lincolnshire and the Humber.
Although we didn't take home the top award on the night, being recognised alongside so many fantastic organisations was a wonderful achievement for our relatively new charity and something we are incredibly proud of.
In just two years, the Foundation has grown into a valued source of support for smaller charities, voluntary groups and grassroots community projects that often struggle to access traditional funding.
Since its launch, the Foundation has raised over £55,000, awarded thousands of pounds in grants and supported projects benefiting more than 10,000 people across the region.
From tackling loneliness and supporting carers to creating opportunities for young people, encouraging creativity and improving community spaces, the Foundation's grants have helped local organisations bring their projects to life.
Run entirely by volunteers, the Foundation relies on the generosity of local businesses, individuals and supporters who contribute through fundraising events, donations and volunteering.
The Great Big Small Awards celebrate the achievements of smaller organisations and the important contributions they make to their communities. For The Bradbury Foundation, reaching the finals of the Heart of the Community Award is a fantastic milestone and a reflection of what can be achieved when people come together to support local causes.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the Foundation so far. This recognition belongs just as much to our volunteers, fundraisers, donors and the wonderful organisations we support.
