Magical Memories made with £1,000 Grant to Support EDAN Lincs

Foundation

The Bradbury Foundation was delighted to provide a £1,000 grant to EDAN Lincs – Octavia House to support its Christmas initiative providing a magical festive experience for families living in refuge accommodation in Louth.

The funding helped EDAN Lincs deliver a special day out to Santa’s Grotto for families who have fled domestic abuse and are currently rebuilding their lives in safe accommodation. The project aims to reduce isolation, lift spirits and create treasured memories for children and parents who may otherwise have faced the festive period without support.

The grant contributed towards transport, entry tickets and a gift for each child, ensuring families could enjoy a festive celebration together during what can often be an emotionally difficult time of year.

Representatives from The Bradbury Foundation recently visited EDAN Lincs to meet the team behind the project and to officially present a cheque for £1,000, showing the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting local organisations that provide vital help to vulnerable individuals and families.

Speaking about the grant, a spokesperson for The Bradbury Foundation said:

“EDAN Lincs provides such an essential service to families across our local communities. We were incredibly moved by the work being carried out at Octavia House and the compassion shown to families in crisis. During a particularly challenging time for those who have experienced domestic abuse and were proud to support a project that brings warmth, joy and a sense of normality to children and parents who deserve it most.”

EDAN Lincs supports individuals affected by domestic abuse across Lincolnshire and delivers specialist services through the Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service (LDASS). Their work helps families access safety, emotional support and long-term recovery resources.

The Bradbury Foundation is proud to support projects like this that offer practical help, emotional comfort and meaningful experiences for individuals facing hardship.
