The Bradbury Foundation is proud to have supported the creation of a new small animal care facility at Linkage Community Trust, helping to enhance inclusive learning opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities and autism across North East Lincolnshire.
In April 2025, Linkage Community Trust approached The Bradbury Foundation to request grant funding towards the development of the specialist facility. The project was designed to provide hands-on learning experiences in animal care, supporting the development of practical skills, confidence and independence among learners.
Although the Foundation’s contribution represented a small proportion of the overall build cost, it played a part in helping the vision become a reality. The grant was greatly received by the team at Linkage, who recognised the importance of community support in bringing such projects to life.
Representatives from The Bradbury Foundation were delighted to attend the official opening of the facility in January 2026. The event celebrated the collaboration between supporters, staff and learners, showcasing the positive impact the new space will have for years to come.
Speaking about the project, a spokesperson for The Bradbury Foundation said:
“We were honoured to be approached by Linkage Community Trust and to play a small part in supporting this fantastic initiative. While our grant was modest in comparison to the overall investment, we know that every contribution helps when charities are working to deliver meaningful change. Seeing the facility open and meeting the learners who will benefit from it was a proud moment for the Foundation.”
The new small animal care facility will provide structured learning programmes focused on animal welfare, responsibility and employability skills. It also offers therapeutic benefits, creating a calm and engaging environment that supports wellbeing alongside education.
The Bradbury Foundation remains committed to supporting charitable initiatives that strengthen communities and create opportunities for individuals to thrive.
