Trainee Accountant

Location: Louth

Hours: Full time

We have an excellent opening for someone to join our team at our Louth office.

This is a full-time position which includes a fully-funded study package to gain globally recognised accounting qualifications. You will spend a number of days away from the office studying with our national leading training provider, Kaplan Financial. As well as paying for £20,000 worth of training fees, we cover your travel costs, meal allowance, hotel fees and all other related study costs. In addition to all of this, you will receive an annual starting salary above NMW (dependant on age and higher for graduates) as well as a pay rise with exam passes.

Our resources and depth of specialist knowledge Firm wide means you’ll have the support and facilities to become a fully qualified accountant within 3-5 years and we’ll be with you every step of the way. This is a great opportunity to become part of the Forrester Boyd family.

What does the job involve?

A typical working day could include:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Preparatory work and analysis for semi-senior/senior
  • Basic tax computations
  • Bookkeeping VAT Returns
  • Wages
  • Ad hoc duties

What do you need to bring to the table?

To be successful, you must possess the following skills:

  • A minimum of 3 B’s at A level
  • Good numeracy/accuracy skills
  • Computer Literacy
  • Good interpersonal skills

This is an entry level role in which you will have a full time role working for Forrester Boyd who is recognised for exceptional client care and our focus on staff training and development.
