The second phase of the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) is now open, offering another much-needed financial lifeline for millions of self-employed workers across the UK.
The first grant in May saw £7.8bn in taxable grants claimed by 2.7 million people whose trade has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
More than 3 million people are thought to be eligible for the second grant, with the chancellor Rishi Sunak stating that 95% of all self-employed workers will be able to apply for the scheme.
This second grant will be restricted to 70% of your monthly average profit, capped this time at £6,570.
You must apply on or before 19 October 2020 to receive this grant.
