March signals the start of spring, it is a time of year when many people decide to spruce up their homes, declutter, get ready for maybe a move. Do you have a spring clean in your business however?
There are many potential benefits from having a good spring clean of your business. I am not talking about painting the walls or getting the gardener in to make the flower beds look lovely, I am talking about your processes and your finances. You have done the hard work of preparing your year-end accounts but do you actually look back over the last 12 months to analyse your performance? Does your accountant fully review your year-end accounts with you or just give you a summary of your performance?
Perform a full audit of your accounts. Are there areas that could do with a little attention, a bit or streamlining to increase efficiencies? We are all so busy with the day-to-day that we often don’t have time to look at the bigger picture. This is where a good relationship with a pro-active accountancy partner will help.
Forrester Boyd act as business advisers to clients, not just accountants. Year-end accounts are more than just a statement, it’s about analysing your finances and providing a strategy to assist your business for the next 12 months and beyond.
