Oliver joins the Leeds team as part of Forrester Boyd’s 2026 Trainee Academy intake, alongside six other trainees joining the firm across its offices.
Having completed his initial induction at Forrester Boyd’s head office in Grimsby, where he met his fellow trainees, Oliver is now settling into his role in Leeds and beginning his accountancy career with the firm.
A former student of Outwood Academy Freeston and New College Pontefract, Oliver was attracted to the opportunity to combine professional study with valuable on-the-job experience. After researching trainee opportunities, he chose Forrester Boyd because of the firm’s culture and values and the opportunity to develop his career in an environment where trainees are supported to progress.
His arrival comes as Forrester Boyd continues to build its presence in Leeds. The firm established its Leeds office in April 2025 and has since doubled the size of the team, bringing together expertise across a growing range of accountancy, audit, tax and business advisory services.
Developing people from within has long been central to Forrester Boyd’s approach. Thirteen of the firm’s 17 partners began their careers as trainees with the firm, including Leeds lead partner Richard Walker.
Forrester Boyd formalised this commitment with the launch of its Trainee Academy in 2024. The Academy gives those starting a career in accountancy a structured development pathway while creating a community of trainees at different stages of their professional journeys.
