End of CJRS, CSSP and SEISS

  • 24th September 2021

As we start to emerge from the effects of Covid-19 and businesses across all sectors start to get back to some sense of a ‘new normal’, we have to face the end of the support packages the Government had put in place.

30 September 2021 will see the coronavirus job retention scheme (CJRS), the coronavirus statutory sick pay rebate scheme (CSSP) and the self-employed income support scheme (SEISS) come to an end. These schemes have helped millions of businesses throughout the pandemic, many of whom may not have survived without them.

Now is the time to check to ensure that you have correctly submitted your claims before they close and make sure you are prepared for your next steps.

  • CJRS - New claims for September must be submitted on or before Thursday 14 October.
  • SEISS - The fifth and final grant covers the period from 1 May 2021 to 30 September 2021. You must make your claim for this grant on or before 30 September.
  • CSSPYou have until 31 December 2021 to submit any final claims or to amend any claims you have submitted. You can only claim rebates for SSP paid up to 30 September.

Cashflow forecasting and planning is going to be crucial for businesses once the support ends. If you require any help with preparing short term or long term cashflow forecasts or planning for changes in your business, please do not hesitate to talk to us.
