Kevin Hopper

Managing Partner

Headshot of Kevin Hopper

I have been at the firm since 1998. In fact, I started with Forrester Boyd on the trainee accountancy programme as did the majority of our partners. I qualified in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. I am now the managing partner for the firm.

I enjoy looking at the best ways to save my clients tax and preserve their wealth. I work with a whole host of different types of businesses and enjoy having a mix of size and sector. I have had a number of specialisms over the years, which means I have established a broad range of knowledge across many areas, which I feel helps all my clients.

Over the years I have worked with a number of clients completing successful Management Buy-Outs and company reorganisations.

I do enjoy getting out of the office to see how my clients’ businesses work first hand. I am a firm believer that the benefits of the financial advice I provide comes from the in-depth understanding this approach brings.

Interests

I like most sports, with a particular love for boxing and football. I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading and watching films whilst also indulging in the odd pizza or burger, my favourite foods.

If you weren’t an accountant, what would you be?

I think I would have gone into engineering or oil and gas.
