I joined Forrester Boyd straight from Franklin College in 2015 as an apprentice under their trainee programme.
I had previously undertaken a short work experience placement at a local accountancy firm and this gave me a real indication of a career that was right for me and my development. The most valuable element for me was to combine a training opportunity with a full-time role in the workplace, enabling me to utilise my new skills and put them into regular practice.
In 2023, I completed my ACCA qualification and became a Chartered Certified Accountant. During my training programme, I was fortunate to be exposed to a variety of different lines of work for clients from a mixture of sectors. This has given me a broad spectrum of knowledge and often allows me to see the bigger picture from a client’s perspective.
Interests
Most weekends you will find me glued to the TV for all of the football coverage (and on evenings if there is midweek action!). I am also a keen collector of Lego and my partner is delighted by how much space this takes up in the house!
