Carrie Jensen

Partner - Chartered Accountant

Headshot of Carrie Jensen

I joined the firm in 2009 as a trainee accountant, becoming a partner in 2019.

I first started working with academies in 2010, alongside small owner-managed audit exempt work and tax returns. Over time my interest grew in the not-for-profit sector and I soon became much more involved in charity and academy audits, alongside corporate audit work and tax planning. This led to me becoming national chair of the UK200Group's Charity and Academy Committee, which provides support and training to other firms across the country.

I now have a mixed audit portfolio working with academies, charities and larger corporate companies.

I really like to get to know my clients to come up with practical solutions to their problems, which helps them save time and money. Audit can be so much more than a tick box exercise, and it is important that I always add value where possible.

Interests

I love to holiday, visit new places, drink cocktails and eat at nice restaurants. My weekends are always spent with family, usually chasing my child around a farm!

If there was one piece of advice you would give your younger self, what would it be?

Always believe in yourself, trust your instincts and never be afraid to ask for help.
