I joined Forrester Boyd in 2008 after graduating from the University of Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Accounting and Business.
Through training with Forrester Boyd I went on to qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant in July 2014.
I manage an accounts department within Forrester Boyd, including the training and supervision of staff. I am involved with a varied portfolio of clients including small companies, partnerships and sole traders. I pride myself in going the extra mile for my clients and am focussed on building strong, long-term, relationships with them and often describe myself as an extension of the client’s finance team.
I particularly enjoy helping SME’s through a more proactive approach in terms of tax planning and also through a general business advisory approach, whilst looking at their figures in detail with the view of additional savings, in order to provide further added value.
Interests
Outside of work, I like to keep fit through going to the gym and playing badminton. I also have a keen interest in football and enjoy watching games especially if Man Utd is on! I love to socialise with friends and family in particular going out for meals or a day/night out to a city.
If you weren’t an accountant, what would you be?
I would probably be an electrical engineer as I enjoyed electronics at college, plus my twin is an engineer!
