The event is intended to provide:

  • an overview on the benefits of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation
  • details of the main responsibilities you should be aware of as a trustee
  • information on how to make the most of your Trustees' Report and strengthen internal controls around charity finances.

This will enable CEOs and finance managers to work on the strategic position of their organisation and give trustees an overview of the main responsibilities they should be aware of in their role overseeing and approving the implementation of that strategy.

Talks will be given by Carrie Jensen of Forrester Boyd, Alistair Latham of Stamp Jackson & Proctor Solicitors and Sian Broughton of East Riding Voluntary Action Services.

The event will also create new links and networking opportunities with other organisations.
